Lara Cladny, Lpcc

Hi, I’m Lara (she/her). I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate and earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Adams State University. After working two years in a college counseling center providing outpatient therapy, I worked for several years as a crisis therapist in which I helped people navigate the darkest and scariest moments of their lives. Supporting individuals through challenging times is both a deep honor and a great passion of mine, and I view my role as a therapist to be that of a metaphorical spelunking guide. Spelunking refers to the exploration of caves. Metaphorically, we often find ourselves in therapy when we feel lost in the dark caves of suffering, which can be both tremendously terrifying and painful, but it is also an opportunity to discover the treasures and beauty in our life experiences. It can be difficult to navigate our inner worlds alone, and having a guide to both accompany us into the depths and help us learn the skills and tools can be the key to finding our way back to the light. I meet my clients where they are but rely heavily on my training in DBT, ACT, Depth Psychology, and Somatic Psychotherapy to support individuals in their journeys of healing and self-discovery.

WENDY KARSH, LCSW CLINICAL DIRECTOR

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience in advocacy, social services, consultation, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision. Certified through EMDRIA, I am currently a Consultant in Training and exclusively accepting EMDR clients. My practice focuses on trauma, grief and loss, chronic pain and illness, caregiver stress, and aging, offering individual therapy for adults of all ages.

My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy with a Strengths Perspective, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and EMDR. I believe in fostering a collaborative relationship between therapist and client, empowering clients to be the primary agents of change in their lives. I am dedicated to supporting clients on their journeys, helping them achieve their goals, build empowerment, and experience post-traumatic growth.

SAMANTHA SILVERMAN, LCSW/CEO

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Proud Owner of Silver Linings Mental Health.  I am currently focusing on expanding our practice, teaching trauma informed care through the Silver Linings Institute, and providing consultation services to other practice owners.

I love empowering other therapists to take the leap into the world of private practice.  Whether you are an already established practice or are just beginning, I will provide guidance.  Oftentimes, the biggest obstacle is transferring from a therapist’s mindset to now being a business owner.

The therapist’s mindset encompasses a deep understanding of human behavior, emotional intelligence, and effective communication. This perspective is invaluable in navigating interpersonal relationships, fostering a positive company culture, and addressing the psychological aspects of both employees and clients.

Simultaneously, the business owner mindset contributes a results-driven orientation, strategic vision, and a keen sense of adaptability to the mix. Entrepreneurs are adept at setting goals, making informed decisions, and steering their company through challenges.

The merging of these two mindsets can result in a holistic leadership style that recognizes the symbiotic relationship between employee well-being and business success. This integrative approach not only enhances team dynamics but also cultivates a work environment where individuals feel understood, supported, and motivated to contribute their best, thereby creating a thriving and sustainable business.  I will help you with combining both mindsets in order to foster a sustainable business plan.

LISA PERMAR, INTAKE COORDINATOR
